ERC Trainees Discuss Case Studies of Research Misconduct

December 5, 2017

Today ERC trainees gathered over lunch to discuss a case study related to research misconduct as part of their training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).

Dr. Edmund Seto (IH, CMOSH) got the students talking about factors that can influence research misconduct, the role of a faculty mentor in creating and promoting an ethical workplace, and the importance of thinking about ethics during all stages of a career in occupational health.

Trainees will have two further ethics discussions this year, in March with Dr. Noah Seixas and in May with Dr. Peter Rabinowitz.
